Multiage Education Mission Statement

The multiage program at BMES is a K-5 program that creates a supportive, nurturing, learning community which allows for individualized instruction, differentiated to each student's needs.  The two-year grade level span allows the gift of time for social, emotional and academic development through leadership opportunities and peer mentoring in a consistent classroom environment.  Thematic instruction is used to build connections and a deeper understanding of curriculum and concepts.  Instruction is flexible with opportunities for self-paced, self-directed, independent and responsible learning.
