Response to Intervention
is a multi-tiered approach that provides instruction and intervention to all students to ensure academic excellence for all students. "RTI is the practice of providing high-quality instruction/intervention matched to student needs and using learning rate over time and level of performance to make important educational decisions to guide instruction" (National Association of State Directors of Special Education, 2005) I provide the following support to the elementary schools. • Implement the RTI program with fidelity • Facilitate and plan Lead RTI meetings on each campus • Train and support all RTI teachers on Aimsweb Progress Monitoring • Provide intervention training and support • Create Resource Labs to house interventions and assessments at each school • Coordinate and train parent volunteers • Train full staff on the principles of RTI • Facilitate and plan data dialogues
