Mrs. Frederiksen at HTES & Miss Barrett at LMES
Use their SmartBoards for Calendar with their 1st Grade Students
If you want to see some students really get engaged in their daily calendar activities, you should just walk into Mrs. Frederiksen's or Miss Barrett's classrooms. They both have creatively transferred their calendar activities into a SmartBoard (Interactive WhiteBoard) masterpiece.
Both teachers highlight many math standards, as they lead their students through their calendar actiities in this highly engaging and interactive manner. Through counting, money, patterns, color and much more, these teachers have gone above and beyond, taking their time to create this lesson and tweaking it to make it as engaging as possible.
If you are at LMES or HTES, stop by. I am sure they would love to show you!
