Homework expectations:

- Reading: Read 20-30 min nightly and complete reading log, due on       Monday.

- Reading/Language: Complete Assigned pages for Spelling, Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, due Monday.

- Math: Most nights student will have a page of homework, due the following day, please check agendas for assignment.                                                                                       - Scootpad Homework needs to be completed by Friday each week.


Homework in our class is always for practice. I grade homework to see how students are doing on their skills and to make sure they are doing the work. I do not put homework in the gradebook. It only affects the behavior grade of completing work. The homework is typically a routine. For example the reading log is handed out on Monday and it is due the following Monday. Reading homework for comprehension, grammar, vocab and spelling is assigned on Monday and due the following Monday. The assessments are still on Friday though so please make sure to practice the skills. Math is given daily and due the following day unless otherwise stated. All homework is written on the agenda an published below.

Reading- This week we are working on an author study. Students have a packet to complete on their author and one book of their choice to read by that author. They will present to the class on Friday Afternoon.
