Go Math!

SchoolCenter Picture

We will be using Go Math!, from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, for the second year. These new 2012 materials have been aligned with both the NCTM and the new Common Core math standards.  The curriculum materials include differentiated learning centers, hands-on manipulatives, and multiple online interactive practice options. The  Think Central website allows you online access to the Go Math! student text and practice book. It also offers Mega Math, Soar to Success Math, a multimedia math glossary to assist you in your learning. One of our class favorite tools from last year were the  animated math models . These are great if you are going to miss a class lesson or if you need reteaching on any in-class lesson we do all year long.  (When available, the animated math model icon will appear like a bouncing ball in front of a white board in the top corner of each page.)  Check it out!

*Note ~ While Arizona has adopted the Common Core standards, when we take AIMS in April 2013, it will still be based on our Arizona standards from before the Common Core adoption. As such, we will use supplemental material to be certain that students have knowledge of both old and new standards which they may encounter.
