Ideas for Instructional Technology strategies for 4th grade.

Podcasting:  Help students come up with a jingle or rap about a topic.  Record this.

Poems, Cheers, Information, Recitation of battles, moc debates from the different judicial branches of governments. News reports from the battle field.  News reports from England and the King.  Reports about the Boston Tea Party and other topics leading up to the war. 

Digital Stories using Windows Movie Maker on researched topics. 
Also, on possibly the life of a soldier from the American Revolution or a Slave of that time or a plantation owner. 

Power Point:  Research of an aspect of early America such as early life or food, or play, or school or work, or chores, or clothes. Also on what ife was before the war vs. what it was like after. 

A Movie about what they might have done if they were living back then.  How might they have felt during that time?  Put themselves in that place and time-writing and then perform that as a first person digital story.

Smart Board Ideas:
*Fill in the blanks on a map with continents or other land masses
*Students color areas of map-land forms
Use the activites & quizes from the American Revolution Site on the Smartboard
*Using the grid feature, design the homes of the kingdoms of the Chinese dynasties (Or any others)
